Frost Blade help

I'm trying to run a Frost Blade Warden, all the build guides say to run a Claw or Dagger, yet the Frost Blade gem says, Swords or Axes. How can I run a Claw or Dagger? I'm lost.

Swords or Axes is a requirement for Close combat support, I guess build guides don't use it?
