mapping build option for settlers is gone

im a bit confused. so i had the option to build mapping building and recombination. i built the recombination and now i cant see the option to build the mapping building. is it a either or thing? if so can i deconstruct the recombination or am i screwed?

I had this happen as well, maybe try upgrading your settlement, when I went from 6 > 7 I have the option to build the map runners again now.
