Slotting Grasping Voidstone (eater of worlds) with controller UI/input mode on PC crashes to desktop

Killed exarch and eater, slotted exarch voidstone succesfully. Pressed A to pick up grasping voidstone, which opens the atlas automatically, then the game lagged for a moment before crashing to desktop.
I was able to repeat this 3 times in a row, crashing each time.

I do not have the other 2 voidstones yet to test them.

I switched to mouse and keyboard input to slot the voidstone and it did not crash. Image below is from when I logged in with m+k mode.
