Couldn't enter instance to fight pirate encounter

After I clicked on the Rescue button it opened a portal to go fight the pirates. I tried to enter the portal and nothing happened. I got this message in chat "Cannot connect to instance. That subarea no longer exists."

So I didn't get to even try to fight the pirates and no longer can click the rescue button so I guess I'm just stuck with either paying ransom or abandoning? This is extremely frustrating (especially since this was only a 2% chance of encounter on the shipment)

Same thing happened to me.

I was a 0% risk by the way. :)
