Unable to play - game and PC crashes due to CPU usage (RTX 4090, i9-14900KF, 32GB RAM)

I was getting constant crashes since the leaguestart, but yesterday the game became unplayable, literally. Whenever I try to login into a character, the CPU usage goes bananas and my game crashes during loading. Sometimes even my PC crashed (blue screen).

I had tried to login more than 50 times unsucessfully (crashed every time), then I started tinkering with the game settings, updated my computer drivers (gpu and mobo), etc.

The one thing that made possible for me to login into the game without crashing is disabling Engine Multithreading in PoE settings. Any other configuration doesnt seem to make any difference (I have tried changing from DX11 to DX12 or Vulkan, disabling other configs, changing from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen, etc).

I tried loading the game in a ABSURDLY lower specced computer and the game loads just fine... My main computer specs are absurdly overpowered for PoE:

- RTX 4090 Asus NVIDIA TUF Gaming GeForce Edition, 24GB GDDR6X
- Intel Core i9-14900KF 14th Gen
- Gigabyte Z790 UD AX Mobo
- Corsair Vengeance RAM, 32GB(2X16GB), 5600MHz, DDR5, C36
- SSD 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2, Gen4x4

Edit: with Engine multithreading off, I can login in the character and walk in my hideout, but if I load a map the game crashes aswell.

Please help asap.

I have not had any luck in fixing this. My game is still unplayable in this computer.

I have tried several things over the past days and nothing worked.

I have updated my BIOS to the newest version possible, updated windows alongside all optional updates, all mobo and GPU drivers, etc...

Please help!

Not sure what happened with the game but I am getting crashes extremely frequently as well. Not sure what's up here.

I am also very sad and also getting angry a lil bit.

Bought a new RiG, high end, also 4090 and I can logging into char screen without a problem but as soon I try to enter a game, it freezes!

I tried a lot... vulcan, direct 11 and 12, admin, reinstall drivers... nothing helped.

Fun part... my weaker intel GPU is starting and playing the game just fine.. it is all about NVIDIA drivers ect.

Hope you guys can fix it for at least POE2, sad story and for me as a consumer it doesn't matter... either a POE or NVIDIA problem... just all other games are running

Exatly same problem, it just crashes all the time on loading screens. Loading the game more than i am playing.

Same issue! Constant crashes for the past month. Sometimes even freezes the PC when creating new instances (this happened 5 times in the past hour).
