I can’t switch the type of ore that workers can mine. there is a drop-down menu with a list of different types of ore for each worker, but they cannot be switched between each other

I am facing a similar issue. The drop down menu doesn’t allow me to assign workers to different subcategories in each building. The only way around this is to assign the workers to different subcategories (such as ores) in the management section.

you can use the town map at the tavern to assign them just fine
