Game closing when I try to enter Kingsmarch

When I try to enter Kingsmarch by talking to Johan or teleporting via the map, my game closes itself. I've tried to change all the render options but that doesn't work either. Updated my drivers and that did nothing.

Had the same problem, resolved it via doing "Verify integrity of game files" on steam under Properties -> Installed Files.
