Can't Corrupt Gems act 2 Alter (console)

I have been doing league start practice and have watched streamers (on pc) corrupt gems at the alter, but whenever I go to corrupt the gem (lightning strike, double strike) it doesn't give me the option. It give me options to corrupt rings, weapons, etc. but when it comes to gems I haven't been able to get it to work.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is bugged

It is a one time use and no different than using a vaal orb. I assume that one time resets league to league, but I've never used it except for the league it was added.

If you're still having issues on console, I recommend making a post in the console section.

Works for non console, just like a vaal. Don't know why it would be different for console, but perhaps it only works on items.

I've seen a number of bugs over the years that are exclusive to console and as they both play on console with no one else reporting issues on PC, it slightly elevates the chance of being a console-exclusive bug.. but still leaning towards just missing some information as there's no way to know it is once per league until you try to use it again.

And yes, it did work on gems (at least on PC) from what I remember last league. I've seen others in my community who used the altar at league start to try to get a vaal version of their skill before they started getting more vaal orbs.

Practicing before this league on PC, it was proccing each fresh run and working on gems as well as all items I tried.
