The new Perfect Agony is antisynergistic with the crit+DoT clusters on the tree.

Due to the changes of Perfect Agony, the few critical strike + damage over time clusters that existed on the tree, Dire Torment and Adder's Touch, no longer have a point to them. The language on Toxic Delivery and the travel nodes to it is also bit unclear, at least to me, on whether it works with PA.

Since the original intent behind these was to be combined with PA and there isn't a different use from them, it would be nice to see them updated to fit in PA builds.

The few Critical-DoT Nodes on the Tree are very niche already and got only more niche with the changes to PA. They seem like they have been forgotten by GGG. Same with the Cluster Noteables "Haemorrhage" and "Eye of the Storm". They probably should be changed to half their value more damage for Ailments from Critical Strikes from what they currently give as DoT Multi or something that synergizes with both PA and non-PA Crit DoT Builds or be replaced with something else entirely.

Toxic Delivery is unaffected by the PA change as it does not interact with critical multi or dot multi, just the condition of a critical hit taking place.

Good to know about TD. I wasn't sure since, based on what I've read, it's supposed to act in the same way as a DoT multiplier.

I assume the increased DoT works in conjunction with PA too?

logically increased DoT should not be affected by PA as it is simply increased damage and not a dot multiplier.

I understand that, based on the wording, it's supposed to. I was just wondering if it actually does in practice. I thought that if DoT bonuses overlap with the multiplier, PA might cockblock them due to the way stuff is coded.

no real way for us to test with accurate results. tho i would say ggg is known to be very literal in their wording.

As far as I can tell, Adder's touch and the critical strikes + damage over time cluster still make zero sense.
