War of attrition mechanic

Could we get an explanation on how it works? What is the distance needed for "Presence" and does it stack permanently, in a map for example we fight a rare mob for 5 seconds and when we find the next rare mob does it count from 5 more dmg or it's resetting from 0?

"in your Presence" always means "within 8 metres of you".

If the second rare monster haven't been in your presence, War of Attrition never affected it. There's nothing to reset.

Curious if people rate this node.

I think its bugged. 5 min in a boss fight with this node. does not seem to work at all.
