Thank you POE

With this huge league coming out seems like its kinda a farewell to POE 1, I know they said they are still going to make leagues even when POE 2 comes out but I feel very emotional getting ready for this league Let me summarize for you.

Im currently 48 years old I joined POE on April 30th 2013, that is just 6 months after POE official public release so I have been playing this game for 11 years now and its been a hell of a ride and I thank you for it. This by far has been the game I have played the most, sure I played other things but I have always come back to POE I have skipped leagues from time to time, shared my distaste for them or my opinions on them but again came back next league to see what else they have in store for me.

And although they say it is not the end of POE1 when POE2 comes out I doubt I will spend much time on it after POE2 comes out. I just want to thank the designers and community for a hell of a great 10+ years on a free game. Sure I have donated and bought supporter packs but in no way was I ever forced to pay and that is just amazing.

While PoE 2 doesn't really seem like my jam from what I've seen, I have no doubt it will be a decent game. But how decent it will be from the get-go, I don't know. I think it will take some time for PoE 2 become the staple we all hope it will be. I also think it will take some time for PoE 2 to be content-heavy enough for people to spend a full league playing it, depending on the season length, of course.

This league more or less HAD to be huge and create some fuzz, as it serves as a indirect marketing tool for PoE 2 (or at least, a marketing tool for GGG) - and the fact that the last league was one of the least popular leagues of all time. Players needed to end this league with a good taste in their mouths.

I just passed 12 years with PoE.
I will play PoE2 no doubt.
One will take more of my time than the other.
Which one remains to be seen.
