Arc chaining bug

Hi,

I'm experiencing this problem for a while now. I have a lvl93 arc witch character, the arc is chaining 9 times making a base 120K+ dmg. Every now and then, there are 1 or 2 mobs on some maps (white to red) on which the mob gets arc chaining. Their life goes to 0 in a moment, but the mobs don't die, just keep standing and coming with 0 health bar over them. Even after repeating the arc to them several times they still don't die, I have to move away and wait, or use my Crackling Lance to kill them for good.

It's not connected to any map or mob modifiers, happened on normal white maps and on rare red maps too with mobs having totally different modifiers (no lightning or ailment immunity). But it mostly happens with thinner character mobs, like skeletons. Maybe it's something to do with the closeness of the mobs, generally happens on narrower corridors and such, but experienced on more open spaces too.

This is really problematic, because on harder maps, I have to turn back to them 2-3 times or get stuck between them assuming, they are dead for the time, when I flame dash to their position, meanwhile, I can't deal with other mobs attacking or closing on on me, also insanely problematic in case of rituals, ultimatum encounters or with expedition mobs

My first assumption would be an aura called "Benevolent Guardian". I don't have a screenshot handy, but it causes all enemies to become essentially immune to damage for durations and once it falls off, then they can take damage again. Alternative, if you kill the monster/totem granting the buff, then the buff falls off and everything dies on the next (assuming they didn't regen/leech it back up).

Unfortunately Arc has a problem where it has a mind of it's own with chaining. So you can target a monster with the buff active, but cannot guarantee the monster granting the buff will get hit if there is enough density. And if the chain hits enough other mobs before hitting the guardian-granting mob, Arc will do significantly less damage as it loses damage with each time it has already chained. So it's possible you are able to kill them with Crackling Lance because it has no damage loss on hitting the guardian.

If that is not the case, I'd suggest taking a video showcasing what you're experiencing.
thank you for the insight. since I experienced the problem with my lightning strike warden too in some cases (much less), and checked, almost every time, there was a totem somewhere, I think you are probably right, mostly because of arc chaining randomity. thank you :)
