Just my guess, Heist + Expedition= hunt monsters to collect new currency like heist coins to later buy stuff and upgrade settlement in which you will craft, buy and have new uniques?

Just hope for T17 removal or some kind of Endgame rework (again), imo they fk'd up core game last patch and waiting for a fix here, otherwise not interisted

" Nah we already have this with Blight. We also had various variations of rogue lites like Sanctum,Delve or wave based gameplay like Ritual,Ultimatum. Also auto battler like Ancestor league. Also mechancis with phasing that allows us to change to other dimensions like Scourge,Synthesis,Affliction. Also bunch of simpler ones like buffing enemies, spawning enemies or having temporary minions. Also Stardew mechanics like OG Harvest,Necropolis league. Not sure what could me personally surprise at that point other than introducing: first person gameplay, fishing gameplay (maybe while on boats), shapeshifting gameplay , vehicle gameplay (riding them+they have different abilities), nomad soul/possesion gameplay (you become a monster/miniboss and control them), music related gameplay (you need to kill monsters in the right order to compose a song) and so on. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. I hope it does not have a fishing mechanic. If it does I will not make much progress this league

I think we will surf the expanses of endless waters(such as Delv or Synthesis) in search of new islands/lands and build our outposts on them to search for wealthy riches or resources for sale/exchange/improvement of our main harbor base/outposts. Something like that.
