PoE on handheld

Hi you all,

Just wanted to ask, im thinking of getting myself the RoG Ally Z1, but i've come a fork in the road, every video i see about PoE performance is using the Z1 Extreme, which is fairly more competent.

The pricing difference in my country converted to USD is around 520$ for the RoG Ally Z1 (non extreme, with 4 GPU Cu's), the Z1 extreme is around 690$, i can buy both for 1/3 and 3 months to pay off the rest without any interest, which means, im not "that" bound by the price, even though the upfront payment is +- 170$ for Z1 and 230$ for the Z1 Extreme i can manage both.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has the lower tier Z1 (as i can see plenty of videos of PoE running on the Z1 extreme but none of the Z1), and how the performance for you?


Also to stop any conflict of "what" i should get, MSI Claw is hot pile of "you can imagine what", Legion GO is the same HW as Z1 extreme, but bulkier and i couldn't care for it, and i would think about Steam Deck, but its lower performance (even though its more stable in 1% and 0.1% FPS) and lack of FreeSync (or VRR all together) makes it a no go for me even though the battery lasts longer (also i couldnt care less for Oled screen), not to mention, steam OS is great, but i preffer windows even if its buggier.
