GGG is lacking respect for the player base.
Todays patch wasn't announced anywhere that I could find for me to be able to plan around the downtime. So not knowing the servers would be going down I assumed that I would be able to afk and come back to finish my div conversion map after I finished the dinner rush for door dash. Only to come back to a patch disconnect notification. Effectively costing me 50-80 divines or basically an entire day of farming all because there was no warning before-hand that this would be happening. I get that GGG you guys have a lot going on right now working on both games but literally out of respect for the people that are paying for you to be able to keep doing this please communicate with us more clearly about what you are going to be doing with the game and when you expect downtime. I understand that not every situation is realistic but this was a feature patch. Even one day notice is all it takes. Anything is better than nothing.

for live games unexpected patches can happen. usually they give a few minutes warning in advanced tho but even then thats considered a courtesy.
they could take the servers down immediately if need to. its sometimes inevitable. i may be upset with GGG not respecting standard. but for this case, this is not about disrespecting players. [Removed by Support]

" tbf who is even playing at this point of the league, u might be the only one, most ppl play for 2 weeks then wait for new reset
I view lack of melee rework as a disrespect, but not a random minor patch. I would even say minor patches mid league are a sign of respecting the playerbase else they could just wait for next league patch.
GGG remove ancestral totem buffs and buff base gems instead. It is annoying to have to press:
4 warcries, totem, berserk, banner, bloodrage, focus, curse to cast a slam result: 1/5th of normal build damage and 1/4th of POB dps for slam build in real scenario. |

" This has to be the most useless post in a very long time. Clearly he plays because he wants to play. If you live your life based on what "most people" do, it has to get tiresome. There are thousands of players still playing every day. On topic: I agree that patches like this should probably be announced in a better, more clear way. I understand you're upset about the loss of a divine map, but to go so far as to call it "disrespect" is pushing it. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" That does suck but you have to know when you leave the game like that, there is a chance to lose the map due to disconnect and/or patch. If you're online, they do give like 30-60 minute heads up. It's not perfect, but it is something. I've been messing around with D4 just to see what I thought during the downcycle of the league and it has an AFK timeout to disconnect. I definitely prefer the ability to idle forever in POE after experiencing that (or being reminded of it since D3 did it as well). But I still know that leaving the game unattended for an extended period could easily end with me coming back to a disconnect. More often than not, I just come back to random monster from other end of map found me in the corner and killed me though :) I suppose it's a good lesson learned (or good reinforcement of the lesson) for the future.
" The ship has sailed. To be frank the best thing ggg did was to admit that they couldnt "save" poe1 melee. Hence the separation and creation of poe2. If we re going there i would have been 1000x more receptive and understanding if they highlighted how bad melee was and how they couldnt find a way to make melee good without screwing up balance. For them to fix melee required them to build the entire game again but with melee considerations. Their failure to do this and instead just announce poe2 was going to be separate with no explanation as tho we would cheer for it, was really in poor taste. I resented ggg a huge lot until i finally understood due to all the recent interviews where they went into great detail explaining all that. If youre still enjoying poe1 and dislike how melee is currently, i sympathize. Its not going to change for a long time if ever at all. [Removed by Support]
