Do you think GGG bans based on number of accounts OR depending if the exploits are league based?

Fixed items that had an invalid number of sockets, such as being added from The Black Morrigan Bestiary craft. The invalid sockets on these items have now been removed. Any gems in the removed sockets are not recoverable.
Has any exile really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

So after all of this, the confusion continues among legit players. Seems like the exploiters who made profit and skated off free were right. Does this mean the whole Ultimatum group ban was an isolated incident because it was a temp league; as opposed to being game wide in temp leagues & Standard?

GGG, 2 quick questions for future reference once and for all

1) Are bans based on numerical amount of player accounts?

2) Define exploits and what makes them bannable?

Many of us just want a definitive answer to avoid confusion. It'd be just our (legit players) luck, that the next exploit to happen and we all participate in it and suddenly the ban hammer slams down. After this thread I'm done asking about this whole fiasco.

Players, let's hear your thoughts on this?

The Rule#1 Of a Smart Abuser has always been known: don't get greedy. If you discover an exploit, abuse it for some time, and then leak information online, preferably just before weekend, so thousands of people would participate in exploit either directly or by buying busted items (if we are speaking about items).

This basically prevents game owners from applying bans (at least if they don't want to wipe large chunk of the playerbase or cause even more uproar by banning selectively). Players who got those items last will take the fall, while original abusers walk away with a profit.

Nothing specific to poe in this situation, it happened before and will happen again.

I can assure you smart abusers/exploiters are very good at what they do and come out with optimal profits every time.

And this is why it is so important that GGG punish exploiters or people will always feel it is ok to dabble in it. It is so mindblowingly bad that they let people get away with this behaviour.

Exactly!! This is why we need absolute clarity on what's game legal and what isn't. I was initially under the impression that if any number of players did not care about risking their accounts; then why would GGG? All these mixed messages based on their actions are very confusing. Let's see from the obvious game illegal things are:

1) RMT - Real Money Trading (buying items)
2) [Removed by Support] - Selling items for "forum gold"
3) Map hack
4) Screen aspect ratio enhancements
5) Zoom hack
6) Selling OR giving away your account & password

Now here's where it gets fuzzy..........

7) In game exploits if they're applied in temp league only, * but once it becomes game wide to include Standard then no?

If anyone else can list any other flagrant game illegal things feel free to. We have to keep a tally here.

** Funny thing is I almost made a thread outright asking a poll: "Take a vote should players from this recent exploit be banned - this post only for the yes"; BUT then I realized that's totally backwards, considering there's never a vote on any other instance where bans are issued so why would it matter now?**

"Forum gold"?
I have no idea what this is.

And what the "#%"# is a "zoom hack"?
I'm guessing it's not being able to zoom in and check out the b***s on that zexy merchant.
I think at this point, this league should be a voided league.

But then again GGG don't really care about economy in standard.

I said it before but you clearly don't read anyone's opinions on the matter besides your own and GGG's.

Empy's group made an influx of unintended items in the game using the exploit from Ultimatum. This incident created a spike of item values for items that (thankfully) were fixed.

They're two different scenarios, with two WILDLY differing outcomes if left to stay.

Nobody is getting banned, go map and play the game.
