Feature Request - New Item Slot - Cloaks

Tie it into a new quest - perhaps even a league mechanic. Room for it to the left corner of paper-doll.

Cloaks drop with:
- 2-5 sockets.

- No prefixes or siffixes.
- Implicit mod is "Item contains 2-5 sockets."
- *Non-modifiable.
- **Random colored sockets - R/B/G.
- Item level 72
- ***Corruption can yield more sockets, links, white sockets or implicits.
*(See Relics).
**(These cannot be chromed/bench crafted).
***(Only drops, players cannot vaal).

Socket Restrictions:

Support Gems:
- Automation Support
- Inspiration Support
- Cast When Damage Taken Support
- Increased Duration Support
- Corrupting Cry Support
- Urgent Orders Support

For some fun unique variants you could have:
- A cloak with no sockets but up to 2 random prefixes and suffixes.
- Cloaks with reduced sockets that have a built in support gem.
- Cloaks that have 1-2 sockets but can use regular gems and supports.
- Cloaks with 1-3 sockets that have a built in level 10-17 summon gem.

Appearance - you already have the hook points and ability to draw cloaks - so it will be very easy to implement visually.

Additionally, you can offer an "invisible cloak MTX" for those who don't want to see it. Normal cloak MTX will supersede the cloak's native graphics.

This is…weird. I don’t know why you’re restricting colours being changed. By “corruption can do X” it sounds like they’re not already corrupted, so chromatics should work.

Why do they only drop at level 72? Surely the desperate and freezing survivors on the beach would want a cloak as much as (indeed, more than) universe-conquering godslayers? What is it about a piece of fabric wrapped around you that makes it so unattainable and special in Wraeclast’s universe?

The gem restrictions really make it seem like a kneejerk response to the automation changes, but automation is absolutely a powerful enough alteration to warrant a gem slot, and you undermine that if you then give out free slots just for that. Suddenly after all these years of POE being about arranging your gems however you want there’s this one item class that only holds a preapproved list? Very inelegant. The selection also isn’t defined by keywords, which makes it feel even more arbitrary.
we are sure in need for even more power creep cause the current player power ain't enough hoho

GGG seems to like a great deal of randomization. Thus the notion of making you hunt for a cloak that works for you. Random colors, random sockets, random links, etc.

The thought didn't come from "automation" support rather that before PoE II was split form PoE I, they made a great many balance changes to skills based on multiple six links. This created a "socket famine" for many archetypes.

The list of allowable gems would certainly be restricted by keyword, the ones I listed are simply what came to mind.
