controller OR keyboard

Why isn't it possible to use the mouse for all the micromanagement stuff and the gamepad for moving and fighting? It's super annoying to switch every time you need to go through loot, craft or sort stuff etc. That's just not possible with the controller. I would like to be able to use both ingame at the same time. This is also possible in other games, can we expect it in POE at some point?
