Pvp feedback: Pvp sucked because...

1- There's no time to pre-cast several auras like in PVE...

2- I'm glad it's all over and that pvp will never be a thing again.

you don't need auras to pvp, I had a blast without a single one, and other people needing to sit there casting fifteen different spells before the battle like the Power Rangers doing a dance to summon their Zords gave me a chance to bum rush them for the one punch knockout

pvp died because GGG let it die by no longer providing support for exploits and bugs, and totally not caring about balance between different play styles (ultra-wide monitor with projectiles - sometimes invisible - made actual melee a challenge)

the fundamental mechanics of the game didn't work out too well either as players have abilities monsters do not

chaos damage is useless, or super effective
evasion is useless, or somewhat effective
culling makes low life builds sol
items can summon invincible high speed minions

then there is the largest problem, which GGG cannot solve, which is the newer generation of gamers can't handle it

in diablo ii pvp was not always optional, and it was amazing, getting ganked and getting revenge, chasing players from one game to another, or sitting in a pvp game for hours screwing around outside of town

something changed since then, folks don't like confrontation anymore, maybe microplastics in the food supply caused it, idk, but pvp in PoE was a lot of fun for a few years despite it being minimally supported (although the community was never more than several dozen)

I don't see the point in playing an RPG without PVP, the npcs don't care that you kill them off, they don't curse you out or log in on another character to try to get revenge, no point in getting gear or leveling past the storyline
so they going to delete pvp in poe2?

Last time i tried to play poe pvp i noticed that right now the only way to have a decent pvp build is spent about 30 mirrors into a random stack stuff build, ¿How some guys have about 30 mirrors so easy and fast and have NO stuff for sell in trade site?? idk ¿RMT? idk, so sad that pvp right now is just for 5 or 4 guys who spent 30 mirrors into their builds (This happen in standard and leagues)

So pvp is unfair and unfriendly for more of new players or people whos not into RMT stuff, so sad poe pvp is just so bad now, im having more fun playing nintendo switch.
saw news about poe 2 (another pay to beta test, i guess), checked forum. lolz.

Nothing changed... Players who like PvP don't play POE, because it doesn't have good PvP. You can find them all over all manner of PvP games. If you want (unfair) open world RPG PvP, Albion Online and VRising are good options. If you want (fair) top-down PvP, League of Legends is it.

If you take the Bartle Test of gamer psychology, you will find that the sentiment you are expressing is that of the killer (aka griefer). I doubt there are very many killer/griefer style players in POE... and even among PvP players, most people prefer "fair" non-RPG pvp (call of duty, CS:GO, fortnite, rocket league, league of legends) to RPG griefer style open world.

I'm personally more a fan of "fair" pvp. I don't typically enjoy PvP against someone where the equipment difference means the fight is almost never competitive. This is just grief or be griefed, and I don't see the point. There are exceptions, where open-world PvP is part of the excitement (Albion, EVE Online)

Players who liked PVP did play PoE, for years, the PVP was fun and exciting.
The change I am referring to is the new normal you and the majority of gamers now espouse.
Your stance, if I am reading you right, is that it is unfair PVP if the other player has better equipment. I imagine you would also say it is unfair if, after beating an opponent your level, they switched accounts and attacked you with a character twice your level.

The sense that PVP is only fair if the characters are equal level, with equal gear, and with abilities that have been balanced by a crack development team to make sure no character skill is too favorable to others, is the lack of competitive spirit and the death of PVP.

RPGs, especially Path of Exile, have at their core equipment and a gamified spreadsheet of skills and talents. It takes skill to smartly gear yourself and to make a build that can compete against whatever the meta currently is. It takes effort to collect that gear and get to max level.

To suggest it is unfair to fight someone who did not put in the effort to level and get geared, or who couldn't figure out how to get the most out of their skills or the talent tree, is silly when that is the majority of what the game is.

Being able to click a few different spots on the screen in the right sequence is the easy part, spending a hundred hours grinding, making trades with other players, and playing with your skill tree trying to make it more efficient is the challenging part, which fewer and fewer people are willing to have a competition in.
I wouldn't waste my time. Aodui, you assume these people are ignorant. they're not. They just don't want the stress of competition. It also doesn't help when the developer doesn't/didn't want the stress of trying to balance it. You are trying to describe the sky to a blind man.
