POE 2 Steam web hacked?

The launch of the beta has been announced on the POE 2 steam website with a suspicious website, has steam/GGG been hacked?

The ad was removed after a few minutes.

No, they have not been hacked, this will likely be something like what happened with helldivers 2 where some people set up pages to sell the game (what was received wasn't the game) to get money/details

Wish they made an announcement about this on the forums & in game

holy crap. If people lose their accounts to this... jeeez


really really bad

They need to post it everywhere so people can clean their computers and change passowrds.

I know people have to be extra sloppy giving out info to even get close to losing anything or download stuff they shouldn't, but considering this was done through a comprimized account and might look official to some there might be people falling for it all the way.

It popped up on the game's news threads. That you see in your steam library.

My advice is if you are like me and you once played POE on steam. Make sure it's removed from your account.

Or maybe just not click on clearly malicious links, or maybe use 2FA like every sane person :D
