Essence Scarab of Stability doesn't work at all

Essence Scarab of Stability says "Using a remnant of corruption in area can only result in upgrading or transforming essences."

The most notable result is that nothing happens when using remnants in area, according to the scarab this should not be possible.

I'd say it feels like 25% upgrades, 25% transforms, and 50% of the time nothing happens.
