[3.25] Elemental Relic Autobomber - Tukohama's Fortress League Starter

Introduction
This is my take on a fast autobomber with explosions! A league start viable autobomber that uses Tukohama's Fortress to automatically explode Elemental Relics as soon as they are summoned along with an Animate Guardian supported by a high level Infernal Legion from The Formless Inferno!

Pros & Cons

+ Fast and strong mapper
+ Autobomber with explosions!
+ League start viable
+ High damage uptime
+ Ailment immune
+ Doesn't require 6 link
+ Good defensive layers
+ Extremely smooth leveling (Sentinel of Radiance)
+ No temporary league power is used in any of the showcases (see tab for league specific suggestions)

- Not SSF viable (Tukohama's Fortress at least)
- Have to use Sentinel of Radiance (summon every 32 seconds) until getting The Formless Inferno (~100c at league start)
- Damage can be slightly delayed

Settlers of Kalguur League Specific
Spoiler
For runes I recommend either increased minion damage, "Your Minions spread Burning Ground on Death, dealing 10% of their maximum Life as Fire Damage per second" or Haunted by Tormented Spirits. Recombinators make it much easier to craft the rares.

Build Mechanics

Spoiler
Summoning Elemental Relics
Spoiler
One of the core ideas of this build, and the primary way we deal single target damage, is automatically summoning and exploding Elemental Relics (see Exploding Elemental Relics).

Elemental Relics are a minion granted by the guardian ascendancy that explode on death dealing 100% of their life as damage of a random element (they also grant some auras, which will matter later). We summon the Elemental Relics whenever we hit or our minions hit a rare or unique enemy or kill a normal/magic enemy. We can use zombies and phantasms for hitting rare and unique enemies, since they'll hit frequently enough to summon Elemental Relics as soon as they come off cooldown (.3 second cooldown). For normal and magic monsters we primarily use an Infernal Legion setup to kill them with the Elemental Relics augmenting the clear (see The Formless Inferno).

Exploding Elemental Relics
Spoiler
Now that we've summoned the Elemental Relics, we need a way to make them explode. We can allocate Minion Instability so the Elemental Relics will explode when they drop below 50% life and deal an extra 33% of their life as fire damage, but we still need a way to cause them to drop below 50% of their life. We can't support them with Infernal Legionthough, since the skill is granted by an ascendancy rather than a gem or item, and other methods of damaging minions are unreliable. The relics have an aura though and if we cause that aura to reserve life instead of mana, by allocating Necromantic Aegis to give the relics Tukohama's Fortress (which grants Blood Magic), the relics will be on low life and explode as soon as they are summoned!

The Formless Inferno
Spoiler
While exploding Elemental Relics are our primary form of single target damage, we use Infernal Legion to clear normal and magic monsters. Infernal Legion scales heavily off its gem level, which is difficult to increase since it's a support gem. Fortunately The Formless Inferno, already a good helmet option since we're scaling minion life for Elemental Relics and don't need + levels to minion gems, grants level 30 Infernal Legion and is relatively common (~100c on league start, can use Sentinel of Radiance before getting it). We socket Animate Guardian into The Formless Inferno, since we can give it sceptres with increase fire damage and fire damage over time multiplier to further scale the Infernal Legion damage (make sure the sceptres don't have flat elemental damage other than fire). Infernal Legion burns the Animate Guardian for 40% of its life as fire damage every second, but we can mitigate this by getting 85% fire resistance (75% base + 8% from the mastery + 2% from Elemental Army), 5% of life recovered per second from the passive tree and 1.6% from jewels.

Animate Guardian
Spoiler
Besides the sceptres to scale the Infernal Legion damage, we can give our Animate Guardian a number of other utility items. For the boots we can use Legacy of Fury for explosions and scorch. Recommend rare body armour on league start and then use either Inpulsa's Broken Heart for more explosions, Gruthkul's Pelt for more survivability or Garb of the Ephemeral for utility later on (or stick with rares). Also recommend rare gloves, only swapping to Storm's Gift if using Inpulsa's Broken Heart. Helmet can be Leer Cast on league start and then either Eye of Malice (make sure you are already reducing resistances below 0%), Crown of the Tyrant or a helmet with the Nearby Enemies have Malediction corruption implicit from Glimpse of Chaos.

Spectres
Spoiler
Since we scale so much minion life and block chance, we can use powerful support Spectres without worrying about them dying! Quite a few options for spectres, but I recommend getting wild bristle matron, pale seraphim and ruins hellion. Together, these minions debuff enemies with 40% reduced action speed, 15% increased damage taken, 30% reduced damage dealt and taunt them.

Guardian's Blessing
Spoiler

Since we're already investing in minion life recovery to sustain Infernal Legion, we can afford to sustain a Guardian's Blessing aura as well! We use a Chaos golem for the physical damage reduction (both to help sustain Guardian's Blessing and for personal defense) linked with Meat Shield for the reduced damage taken (again to help sustain Guardian's Blessing).

Starter Gear
Spoiler

Mandatory Uniques:
Tukohama's Fortress (replica works too if cheaper)

Recommended Uniques:
The Formless Inferno (use Sentinel of Radiance for clear before getting it)
2x Ghastly Eye jewels with minions recover 0.8% of life per second (once you get The Formless Inferno)
The Jinxed Juju
Legacy of Fury (for Animate Guardian)

General Rares: Prioritize getting elemental resistance capped(remember to include resistance from endurance charges) and life. Chaos resistance and Dexterity if your elemental resistances are capped. Get two sceptres with increased fire damage and fire damage over time multiplier for Animate Guardian.
Flasks: Recommend life flask (bleed immunity), Jade, Granite, Quartz and Quicksilver with increased armour, evasion and movement speed modifiers enchanted with use when flask charges reach full.

Leveling and Transition
Spoiler
Leveling as Summon Raging Spirit until we get our first ascendancy and get Sentinel of Radiance (use until you can afford The Formless Inferno). After this Sentinel of Radiance can carry us through the rest of campaign (and early maps too).

Havoc Summon Raging Spirits Guardian Leveling

Leveling POB:

Transition when you can afford Tukohama's Fortress (should be around 10c day 1, replica works too if it's cheaper). Can use Sentinel of Radiance for clear until getting The Formless Inferno (clear is almost identical for both, just have to re-summon Sentinel every ~30 seconds).

looks cool dude, guess faster attacks when 6link, or stay with 5 cos you need sockets?

Thanks! I'd probably just stay 5, socket pressure is just too high unfortunately.
Hey there!

Loving the build so far. Got a couple of questions:

What would you enchant on an amulet and how would a lvl 100 tree look like?
Is there a way to scale single target damage on this? I went an adorned route and have almost 350% increased health through the helm but the relics seem to tickle Uber bosses.

Level one hundred tree would probably invest into a large cluster jewel setup (12 passives with 35% increase effect of small passives) as well as picking up the 10% of armour applies to physical damage and 10% of physical damage taken as chaos masteries (if you have the Fourth Vow + Divine Flesh combination) and drop all the extra small passives. Anoint should probably be Whisper's of Doom (Flammability or a defensive curse and drop Minion Life Support for spectres) once you can afford it (early on it's flexible).

There are definitely ways to get more dps (can't see character but as a general example specific Brutal Restraints can provide a lot of damage), but I don't really recommend this build if you want to farm uber bosses (long, closed arena fights in general tend to favor other build archetypes over autobombers).

Thank you for the reply. Looking forward to taking the build as far as I can. Cheers!

I'd really recommend dropping ghostwrithe for a rare body armour with life (it might be possible to run an energy shield version of this build but you'd want a significantly higher budget/level, would probably want to go CI not hybrid and would would need to change the passive tree pathing). Getting a better wand is also a very easy upgrade, a wand with only bench crafted minion damage/life (like in the POB) would be an upgrade. Can't see the spectres/AG items but make sure you have enough regen to sustain the AG's infernal legion and Chaos Golem's blessing (think you need a jewel with minions regen .8% of life per second unless the AG's gear has regen).
