crafting with mirrored items

Hello,

I was reading the wiki about mirrored items cause i want to buy a mirrored item, but wasn't sure what it implies.

Wiki: Items with this modifier cannot be altered in any way except through the use of currency items that explicitly affect mirrored items, such as Reflective Oil.
It only gives the exemple of the refelctive oil, and the currency Wiki page list nothing about mirrored interaction.

Any help on what alteration I can make to a mirrored item? I'm mostly interested in sockets modification, enchantment and embers.
