IPV6 potentially Causing Frequent Account Locks

Hey,

so my provider (Comcast Xfinity) recently forced me to utilize external IPV6 as their system was trying to force me to utelize it and would faily for about 2 hours during witch time my internet was essentially useless....

this happened everyday and working from home this was not an option.

So I setup IPV6 passthrough on my Asus router and that has resolved the daily issue.

However since then quite often (some times 2-3 times a day other times every day or every couple days) POE will decide that I am logging in from a new location and require met to unlock my account.

Not a big hassle but with it happening so frequently its begun to be a pain.

After investigating my IPV4 address has not changed in the last 2 weeks but my IPV6 address has changed every time I notice this happen.

Is there anything I can do about this? is it worth my time to try and contact comcast and get a static IPV6? is static IPV6 even a thing?

Is it not this that is causing POE to lock and something else?

thanks for help in advance!
