Your post does not address the #1 point of feedback
Just tell us clearly why you won't allow us to toggle the league on/off.
Some of us hate it on a purely visual level (the corpse text boxes are absolute cancer, whoever allowed that in: WTF BRO? VISUAL CLARITY)... I don't want to have to constantly turn my filter on/off. The visuals are making this unplayable... you can have up to 4 text boxes obscuring your view during gameplay.... HOW did this make it through testing? HOW can you expect us to take your closed PTR seriously? just, explain why you won't let us turn of the mechanic. Explain why you didn't even address it in your post. Either you can't or you won't explain why. We recommend PoE to our friends based on this one factor alone: choose how you play. We need to know if that's a thing of the past or not. There's no need for an update post to address anything other than what they're updating. And no that is not the number 1 point. Nor should they even make it optional. Considering the mechanic is the basis for the entire mode. The lantern effectively improves the threat level of the entire game as a whole. Something that was not sufficient in the base game for anybody other than toddlers. For example, any typical newcomer - Necropolis is actually a better balance. This also means less users uninstalling due to the game being to frivolous. Not to mention, the entire point of a public beta is for testing and collecting info to improve the game. Such as what choices users are making on their lantern. If you want to opt out of the entire purpose of playtesting on a test mode, then Standard is a great choice.

The way they do things is just not ideal on the map.
For example Blight had the same problem. The whole map gets covered with buttons. Instead what should happen is that objects light up as you come into range of them. Then a drawer opens to the right as a control doodad that allows you to manipulate it. Something with buttons that can be key mapped. So you see a real solution here for Blight. That you can simply walk over something, hit a few keystrokes and it's done. No need to bother with mouse clicks or mouse pointers at all. Same logic really for loot too. |
