Does anyone remember Q&A part from pervious patch notes?
It's very interesting that GGG has post a Q&A content in 3.16 PN cz players are unhappy about the nerf in 3.15. (Correct me if I am wrong)
In Q&A, we know why they do this or that. However, I am not sure the Q&A way is gone from which patch note until now. The team explains a lot about the changes in 3.24. However, there is still a lot of things do not make any sense in 3.24 with no explanation. For example, why we cannot skip the league mechanic; why remove the flask mod for reducing mana; why remove the skill usage in left click; why not nerf the reward from Sanctuary; What's your point, GGG? Honestly, I hope the Q&A part can return in the future PN. Also, based on the current bad league mechanic, I expect a change ASAP. Offer the players more reward or let us just skip the useless monster buff! Last bumped on Apr 1, 2024, 10:38:43 PM

Fluzzard does open Q & A for every release of Dogwater 4.
It doesn't make Dogwater 4 a better game. Developers who are just not good for the product can talk for days (or weeks even) about how their change is what the game needs but like most players it would be a net negative. You have to have a solid vision of what you want and who it appeals to. I think GGG had this once upon a time. I'm not sure they do anymore. | |
They wont answer that they don't have the answer themselves.
Why am I still here

What do you expect?
GGG decided to work mainly on PoE 2, the new flagship for the future. Since PoE 1 and 2 are separated the manpower in PoE 1 is missing to do great changes well. But they try it anyways? And even before PoE 2 each league (and standard!) was always in a beta (or even alpha) state for some weeks. PoE 1 does 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards - and sometime it's the other way round ... What I don't know a lot about and what could explain some changes in PoE 1: They try to do use things in both PoE. Or/and they want to reduce server costs?
Spoiler
I look at the very worse "transfer" of cpu to gpu calculations which still cost me 50% of old = 3.21.1 performance. Rest of PC like steam and browser are much slower now when PoE 1 is running. Don't fix it if it's not broken?? If so the result are sometimes bad. PoE is complex already after so many leagues even without PoE 2. GGG has proven many times that they can repair things in weeks. But sometimes it was broken for >1 year like map conversion - which had and has design problems from the beginning. Other bugs are in the game for long times. I'm not speaking of the big elephants in the room: a) Too much graphic clutter in fights b) Too many loot (try PoE without loot filter ...) c) PoE in maps is fast as a Arcade shooter, you can't react in many situations which feels unfair combined with death xp penalty and performance problems GGG had tried and (partly) managed to improve things in PoE 1 the last years like 1) nerf flasks 2) make mana more important by reducing mana sustain 3) reducing movement speed (a little) 4) removing most of harvest crafting which had "not enough random" 1-3) doesn't work in standard because of legacy items. But that is how GGG wants standard - or don't care about it. But PLEASE: PoE 1 and 2 are separated - so don't damage PoE 1 and our chars and builds by using it as a test lab for PoE 2! 2 years or more are too long for that and you don't have the manpower to develop 2 games.
