Shortest league for me since the inception of leagues, done on day 3. It's so bad.
The Cemetery crafting is a complete joke, and the piddly rewards in exchange for juiced rare mobs lol I just cant any more.

This game is so anti fun. I havnt bought a supporter pack in so long, and the trend will continue apparently. Its like they dont want my money.

cause there are no crazy currency showers, or easy tota currency? Quite a big change for most players that they suddenly have to actually play the game again in order to get something done, but people already mentioned that 2 months into the affliction league hoho

This is the first time since Bestiary League (yes I checked all leagues) that I have the feeling a league mechanic is an actual step back, especially in the QoL point of view. This league literally feels like a league around that time (2017) that has been pushed back until now in 2024. Synthesis was clunky but you had the feeling you were actually doing or creating something. Harvest was clunky but only the setup was. Here everything feels clunky, every aspect of the league mechanic feels like no thought was put in, at least QoL-wise. It feels more than a step back, like a legacy leap slam distance backwards. It feels like work, sucking all the fun out of the game. If this is what PoE 2 mechanics will have in store for us, it won't only be Path of Dark Souls, it will also be Path of Nine to Five. I really can't hide my disappointment. I have enjoyed almost every league, I skipped about 4 or 5 since 2013. I've had complaints before but I always had fun with at least something, be it outside the league mechanic. But this time, I can't, now my time feels too precious to drag myself through this. I was so motivated by the interview that Ziz did with NeoN, but everything feels so disjointed what what he said, I don't understand, it's too painful to me.

To compensate I actually cleaned some stashes in permanent standard and playing there with actual good characters that don't need to go through an initialization period at a new job, just so I could enjoy the good stuff. The good stuff is everything else in the game. The core is amazing, I try to hold on to that for now.

My major complaint is that the league mechanic in maps is there is no way to skip it. The mobs are so juiced even in yellow maps I find myself running past some elites. Im playing a decent build, its just with league start gear how can you expect to kill mobs with insane regen or 50 other affixes. It reminds me of archnemesis.

I don't really care about the grave stuff, I'm sure it will be fine at endgame. I find myself doing heist instead of maps. Sigh.
The patch itself is quite good, so many good things about it. Not everything, but it's mostly good.

But the league, oh man.

It's crafting league + archnemesis combined.
Archnemesis tier mobs with no rewards (literally).
What even is this crafting UI (it's so bad)
Players still rely heavily on 3rd part websites for information that the game should provide (if you are too lazy to code it, then simplify the design).
If you don't like your time being wasted or you are not crafting tryhard, this is not the league to try it. It's like scuffed harvest, the 1%'s are only rewarded because they have time and will to learn the fine print.

My problem with Crafting League is that you are forced to use 3rd party websites to make the most out of the crafting. After playing Last Epoch I can't help it, I loved the in-game built loot filter to change stuff around quickly. To change my loot filters..., I have to use another 3rd party website. I would say I'm advanced at crafting now, but it doesn't mean it comes to me naturally like it does to some serious veterans. What about the new players (lmao)? You are given a bunch of numbers and just vague descriptions that this pool of affixies are changed X% much to left/right/up/down. No doubt that some people will make some crazy items out of this, but they also spend an obscene amount of time doing it. For an average Joe or casual Andy, this league is a safe skip.

When I saw the introduction I was really hoping for some simplistic crafting design that I can just do without thinking about it too much, welp. I definitely did not expect archnemesis mobs to be forced upon us AGAIN neither.
