So, I was having a [Removed by Support] discussion today, and some of JRR Tolkien's works came up about word origins.
I typed in what I thought was the correct spelling for "Nibelungenlied", but I was way off. The etymology for that word came up (and remember, all of PoE's lore is an homage to Homer, Tolkien, HP Lovecraft, Fritz Leiber, and ofc Edgar Allan PoE), and it turns out (and I don't know why I didn't look this up a long time ago) it means "The King in the Mist". What does this have to do with POE?
