Controller support issues

Is anyone else having random chests on the ground not be interactable. I can interact with most things but it will randomly not allow me to hit A to interact with an item out of nowhere and no matter what I do I cannot interact with it. very disappointing and unsure why its happening.

I can also for example hit my Y key if the interactable object is a strongbox but cant hit A key to start it. Any help is appreciated.
