Spell suppress and ward

In terms of line of defence priority;

Does spell suppression reduce the damage before going to ward then life or suppression apply after hit mitigation against ward? Then when did resist come?

Is it looking like this:

1- resist
2- any other type of reduce damage
3- spell suppression
4- ward
5- life

(Generaly talking. I saw the 10 step on wiki, just wants to make sure).
