[3.23] CoC Soulrend of Reaping Build | Occultist | Affliction | Path of Exile 3.23

Hey guys, ci cast on crit soulrend of reaping occultist build is here. Soulrend of Reaping is a skill gem that casts a spell projectile that turns towards enemies in front of it, dealing chaos damage and leeching some of that damage as energy shield. Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version does not have any damage over time components and the projectiles do not inherently pierce. It has more damage, damage effectiveness, and critical strike chance. Gem quality increases projectile speed instead.


Build Cost
- High Budget: 50-100 div


Mana: How do I sustain mana?
- Non-Channelling Skills have # to Total Mana Cost mod on rings
- Non-Channelling Skills have # to Total Mana Cost while affected by Clarity (Watcher's Eye)
- 1% reduced Mana Cost of Skills per 10 Devotion mod on Militant Faith
- +14 Mana gained for each Enemy hit by Attacks (Gemini Claw)
- % reduced Mana Cost of Skills (Jewels)
- 10% reduced Mana Cost of Skills (Mana mastery)
- Any flask with "% reduced Mana Cost of Skills during Effect"

Critical Strike Chance: Aim for %100 crit chance.
- Power charges
- Diamond Flask, any flask with crit chance mod
- Precision
- Ascendancy, Skill tree, Medium cluster
- Charms with "+#% Critical Strike Chance while at maximum Power Charges" mod

Cooldown recovery: We need at least 52% for this build. I got it from:
- Level 9 Awakened Cast on Critical Strike (34%)
- Belt (12%)
- Boots (6%)

Accuracy: We need %100 hit chance.
Hits can't be Evaded mod solves the problem

Aps: With 52% cooldown recovery optimal aps for cyclone is 10.1. Don't go over it. Cyclone's aps is 10.1 with this setup.
- 10% inc attack speed, Quick Getaway (x2)
- 17% inc attack speed, Flask
- 6% inc attack speed, Jewel
- 10% inc attack speed, Unholy Grace
- 16% inc attack speed, Repeater (x2)
- 5% inc action speed, Boots

Stun Immunity: Using a charm with "Cannot be Stunned by Hits you Block". It's not full stun immunity but better than nothing.

Militant Faith: Dominus to get Inner Conviction keystone.
Try to get one with these mods:
- +2% to all Elemental Resistances per 10 Devotion
- 1% reduced Mana Cost of Skills per 10 Devotion

Some notes:
1. Replace your flask which adds stun avoidance explicit with armour explicit, it will give you a lot more EHP. (tankiness)

2. Replace flask which adds move speed explicit with + crit chance explicit to help get to 100% crit chance, dps increases significantly. (dps)

3. This one is expensive, but +1 power charge is important to reach 100% crit rate, you get it on the implicit of a corrupted version of your helmet (yours does not have it). Getting 100% crit chance is a huge part of your dps. (dps)

4. You are missing a node called shield spell block next to arcane guarding tog et to 74% spell block. The las 1% you get from a level 21 tempest shield gem.(yours is level 20).(tankiness)

4. Charms: You need "if you've attacked reecently gain 6% chance to block to get your physical block to 75.

5.A good tech I added for juiced mapping content is looking for a Watcher's eye with +40-60% reduced extra damage from crits with determination(along with the mana cost from clarity). I bought it for like 10 divs. I also replaced crit mastery of +25% crit multiplier to unique monsters with you take 30% reduced extra damage from crits. Switch this back to unique mastery if you're bossing.

6. I dont see corrupted blood immunity anywhere on your pob, maybe I missed it but it is also very important.

Overall what you're missing is getting that critical chance to 100%. and getting your block chance to 75%. You're almost there.

Once you want to take your build to the next level (infinite currency costs) it's adding +18% cooldown and tailwind to your boots (15-20 divs) through double influenced boots to get 52% cdr and then adding a mageblood.

Hey man,could you please check my pob and tell me what should I fix since my ES is way too low and I get one shot or die in like 1 second from not being careful and I do not know what am I doing wrong.

The amount of ES on your boots, gloves and belt are low. Also you're not hitting the CDR breakpoint of 52%. Awakened Cast on Crit is important for reaching this, but reaching this is quite expensive, since you either need an awakened CoC that has been corrupted to lvl 6, or better yet, you need an Incandescent Heart with a +1 to level of socketed gems corruption (this also aids your Empower as well as your Soulrend directly).

"Fixing" these things would probably make the build feel better, but I am not sure it would be enough for it to feel great.

I spent quite a lot of currency on the build, and turned it into a mageblood setup with spell suppresion. I also opted for using the Brittle implicit on boots instead of the action speed, as it allows for reaching max crit much more easily. Additionally I added in an endurance charge generator and took the extra endurance charge next to where the thread of hope is. At this point I rarely die, and it's very smooth to play, but with the amount of currency I've put into it, that is to be expected. Oh, and I also made the build bleed immune, since that was giving me some issues, maybe it's the same for you? Yea y'all will want bleed immunity. It is mind boggling how fast you'd die without it. Also Mageblood setup, you'll get shat on pretty hard without high ES above 4K atleast. It will definitely get you going.

The Watcher's mod for Gain # ES on hit is essential to keeping you alive. Don't skimp out on that either.

Why do you run despair on hit on the ring and despair in the claw? Is there a reason to double it?
