Items dropped for Animate Guardian bugged

I have finally obtained enough currency to deck my animate guardian out with good gear. Unfortunately, when I placed the Kingmaker on the ground to have the AG pick it up it was no longer interactable. My AG wouldn't pick it up and I could no longer retrieve it on the ground. For some reason it worked with the garb of the ephemeral and legacy of fury boots, but then again not with leer cast. Is this a known bug? This is the first time I have run into it, and now I'm out 5 divine :(

I placed the items on the ground in my menagerie. I then tried it in my sanctum and it did the same thing. Please fix this!
