Game hard freezing constantly

Been trying to play the last 20 minutes. Sometimes it freezes when I try to load into a char, and when I'm lucky enough to be able to load into town, it freezes trying to enter another zone. Earlier it froze just idling in town. I've already tried some basic troubleshooting things (restarting comp, verifying files on steam)
