Will PoE 2 mechanics be available in PoE 1? (Like WASD)
My doubt is mainly related to Mechanics that bring quality of life to the game
And honestly, WASD makes me want to test it, and maybe it's a great addition for non-Tank builds, after all, movement becomes more precise and more multitasking Last bumped on Dec 17, 2023, 10:23:52 PM

I think they said on the POE2 section of the league reveal stream that is would be highly unlikely POE1 would get WASD due technical limitations.

How sad, but I hope that if PoE 2 is a success, they can improve PoE 1, so that these mechanics can be added

Think about it. They want you to play PoE2, so why would they improve a dated game to the same level as their latest and greatest?
A better question to ask is if GGG will update the PoE1 engine using the PoE2 engine. PoE1 future is dim. "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. Best games ever: Elden Ring and Diablo 4."

" The reason they separated the two games is exactly why. Poe 1 engine is so old and limited that it limited the design space of poe 2. A new engine will obviously have features the old one is not able to get. And I doubt very much they will update the old engine much considering how many years it would take. |

PoE 2 Doesn't use the same engine as 1 but much more improved? (I had heard that somewhere, I think I was wrong)
And I don't see any reason for a mechanic like WASD to have a "Technological Limitation" (I don't doubt it, but I think it's unlikely) |
