Unable to select gems in equipped gear with a controller (sometimes)

Console: PS5 (though I played on PC for about 10 hours just to see the league and it happens there too. So this seems like a controller issue)
Occasionally, with a controller, you will be unable to hit the circle button (or B on xbox) to select the gems in a specific piece of equipped gear. If you unequip then you can. It's not always the same piece of gear, either. Once it happens to a specific piece of gear it seems to always not work until you replace that piece of gear. Then over time it will happen again to another equipment slot (or the same one) Last bumped on Aug 24, 2024, 12:57:55 AM

This has been happening for me for years now. It seems that none of the devs who maintain PoE 1 actually play with controller or care about how it plays on controller. I'm a little hopeful that after things settle after the full release of PoE 2 (not just the early access), some of the devs who are passionate about controller can backport some of their controller enhancements to PoE 1. It's just frustrating that GGG doesn't have a community manager continually acknowledging issues in these forum threads. The above hypothetical explanation for why it's taking so long would be perfectly acceptable to me. Instead we feel like we are shouting into the void. |
