Inscribed Ultimatum Functionality Not Working - Can't Sacrifice Item While Using Controller Input

Issue as described in the title.

Loaded an inscribed ultimatum and when I interact with the altar, my inventory tab opens; but there is not way to move the item to be sacrificed to the appropriate area above the altar.

Even after I switched to mouse/keyboard to manually drag it over, I cannot begin the encounter when I switch back to a controller input. It just reopens my inventory tab again like I need to choose the item to sacrifice.

i've been having the same issue as well. :( and im on console.
