G-Sync in POE

Hi Guys!

First of all I have to put a disclaimer. I am not technically skilled in this kind of stuff so maybe it's just a stupid question.

I am running an RTX 3080 and a g-sync functional monitor. Is there any reason for me to enable V-synch in game? To my understanding not.

Also I got my max frames in nvidia control panel on 144fps. I have set the same in POE as foreground fps cap. Currently I am using DirectX11 but my 3D Usage in my gpu is always on 100% when i run poe. This doesnt change whatever settings i change. This is not the case in other games. And as soon as I start watching a stream on a second monitor my ingame fps drops like hell although anything else than the 3D encoding is only used at around 50%. Is this normal?

dx12 or vulkan is prefered vs dx11 with poe nowadays.
and no, there shouldnt be any difference watching content on another monitor.

Many report issues that has nvidia cards mainly which would indicate some issue with how poe engine does things and driver. (can be off base on this tho)

Try dx12 with windowedfullscreen, vsync ingame set to locked. Without any fps limiters. In nvidia control panel (NVCPL) everything to game preferred (no limiter, vsync game preferred).
It works best for me.
