Behind the whole new meta after Divines being the main currency now, there's so many things I still have to learn.
One of the basics, at least according to my friend, is that this forum here is not used anymore to check out new builds, and he said there's a new website where people post them. Is it true? I saw some builds over the builds section, but in fact it's way less populated there than it was before. " Yeah, content creators, Maxroll and people/sites like that have taken over most of the build guide scene. Sure, there are some people still using the forums, and there are good builds to be found there, but often there is better info elsewhere. You know the youth today and their awareness span. They need videos :P I would say the forums as a whole is less populated than before, and the quality of threads is on an all time low. People don't want to debate/discuss anymore, they just... Let off steam. But I digress. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

there are still lots of cool build guides around the forums. websites like maxroll also have them but you'll usually find nothing but league starter builds with extremely limited information resources. I'd say either use the forums or follow youtubers like jungroan, palsteron and captainlance for detailed build guides
most of the time the builds you'll find on the forums won't be top tier, but occasionally you'll encounter really cool ideas and strong, nonmeta builds Last edited by auspexa on Nov 28, 2023, 2:13:27 AM

Maxroll seems decent, if you want a written guide.
And don't forget to download Path of Building if u haven't already. Links to pob are usually under the youtube vid build guides and you just need to copy an url and find the import option in the app. There are Tutorials for pob aswell on youtube. | |

I still use the forums very frequently to scout out builds and build ideas. Literally the top three of all time of my favorite builds came from here, though I should mention that I specifically am on the look out for offmeta builds.
In that regard I can somewhat second what auspexa sais - the most visible build guides out there are eigher top meta builds or restricted beginner builds. Its quite sad for me, becauss this pressures newer players into a mindset of "you have to play meta" and "there is only a very limited amount of strong builds". Both of those ideas are out of touch/wrong. | |
" That's true, indeed. I remember that one of my most beautiful builds was one I made myself, after thousands and thousands hours of gameplay.
