Forbidden Flame/Flesh Jewels Worth It?
I have a forbidden flame/flesh pair socketed in my Champion to provide Brutal Fervour.
How do I know it works? There is no indication on the character sheet that the ascendancy node is allocated. There also doesnt appear to be any change in the way my character feels when mapping. So how do I know the flame/flesh jewels work or are they just taking up jewel slots that could be better used? Last bumped on Oct 24, 2023, 2:22:15 AM

Since Brutal Fervour gives "Life Leech effects are not removed when Unreserved Life is Filled", you should be able to test it by going to a campaign area, activating Blood Rage, then killing some enemies.
Your life should stay topped off (maybe missing a bit) until the leech falls off. You can then remove one of the jewels and compare. | |
So brutal fervour specifically keeps leech going when you are at full life.
This is helpful if you dont hit quite fast and continuously. If you do, your leech should be up all the time anyway. With molten strike, it generally will be up (high hit rate). The time brutal fervour is good is when you kill a pack but have a degen, or a boss goes into a phase and you cant leech but you are still taking damage (degen), or similar. Depending on your build, this might be rare and you might not feel it. _ There are probably other skills you would feel more with Forbidden Flesh/Flame, like Headsman, Bane of Legends, Arena Challenger, Worthy Foe (plus a warcry on your part) or others. One way to check it might be to check your life regen on the defense sheet. Once you hit enemies, I believe leech shows up. If your life hits full, and the reg still shows, then its working. You just might rarely need it. Last edited by trixxar on Oct 24, 2023, 2:22:59 AM
