Beam of Bitter Ritual clipped through wall but not actually doing damage

as title: "Beam of Bitter Ritual clipped through wall but not actually doing damage"
Graphically the beam seems able to wall hack to shoot though wall, but since i did not take damage nor having the debuff, mean that it is graphical issue. Can't find my 2021 thread but it seems very inconsistent it is visual issue or the beam really shoot through wall to apply debuff
