Tota single handedly solved one of the main issues with the game and yet NOONE is talking about it.

In order to receive reward for your match in Tota you click once to open chest / choose option (when you win tournament) and then click to pick your singular reward. That's it. It's seemless, comfortable and feels good to do. Also it's accompanied by awesome sound effect that enhances your experience further.

Did people forgot just how terrible looting in PoE is? You have to click on every individual item you want to pick up one by one then your character has to physically move over every item in order to pick it up and there is a lot of good loot on the ground even with stricter filters. It is very tedious and takes tangible ammount of time. Imagine farming something like Legion that drops a ton of loot all over the place on multiple screens...I just dread coming back to maps based on how awesome it is to pick loot in Tota alone.

It's one of many aspects of Tota people are sleeping on, but certainly one of the most baffling ones to see no mention of anywhere. "Looting that feels good" and "PoE" in one sentence is basically oxymoron at this point.

Basicly you adjust item filter on how many times you want to click on your loot per map :) But still, I agree with said, and I switch gameplay between mapping and trials depending on how tired my eyes are :D
It is somewhat similar as sanctum in terms of looting, just chill gameplay and tactics.
Love this expansion all together
yeah and spend 30 mins moving from npc to npc, buying units, items, field items, setting up the board, itemizing units and all that shit. this is much more tiring than looting a bunch of chaos orbs. I skipped heist and sanctum for the same reason, league mechanics that require a tedious amount of preparation are plain awful

and we can't even give an item to a unit that is already on the field... just why? who comes up with this?

Thats exactly why is it good to have different method of playing the game, you just find what you enjoj most. I love tactics and configuration of my team (yea putting units out of the field to give them items suck and can be improved).
I maybe dont have best knowledge/skill/time to be efficient at quick gameplay and make money on atlas, thats why I enjoj trials, playing mostly with 1 hand and rarely clicking to pick up rewards. You dont even need super build since your character power is influencing only like 30%-40% of outcome.
I'm surprised none of the Ultimatum enjoyers haven't seemed to notice that this is Ultimatum 2.0 from a rewards layout. Except you get a whole lot more choices in rounds 1-5 instead of being stuck with whatever the trialmaster gives you.

I could care less about how many clicks, like someone else said that's fully in your control. If something isn't worth clicking on, don't fucking click it - I don't know what's so hard about that. Filter out junk.

But yeah, overall, ToTA takes loot in a direction I like - more control over my reward, but with options, like a hesit blueprint. Curated, quality rewards, like a heist blueprint. Fewer drops, higher quality. Big fan of the reward side of this mechanic.
"I'm lucky in this casino, trust me you should try it too also put a 5 stars recommendation as well.. it's fun and I enjoy winning all or sometimes but that's okay this is my favourite casino now! you should try it.."
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words.

Retired since crucible.(Not a free tester anymore for a multi billion dollar company).
"Too much loot is bad because my hand hurts, so less of the same loot is better! Trust me!".
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].
I like the loot part of the league

but I dislike the "force me to play another type of game instead of pewpewmonsters" part of the league

same with stuff like blight, don't get me wrong alternatives are good, I was just hoping for something more action packed and mindless I guess

Buying units is almoust seemless at this point. You are not looting "bunch of chaos orbs" you are looting tons of stuff below chaos orbs all over the screen. It's pure pain compared to looting in Tota.

Agree about lastp point.

My loot filter doesn't show junk, it's still too much and losing value just feels bad. "Fixing filter" doesn't help the situation, it's just bandaid on gaping wound.
