Tempest shield lightning disappears if enemy would be destroyed on death (graphical bug)

Tempest Shield's lightning arcs visually disappear if the enemy would be destroyed on death (for example via axe mastery, last rites notable or using Doppelgänger Guise while insane).
It looks a little funny, enemies just exploding out of thin air, but sadly I cannot enjoy my Celestial Tempest Shield mtx anymore.

Tried different graphical settings but it doesn't seem to be able to apply both effects simultaneously (the arc + the corpse destruction).
