bypassing ancient seal using smoke mine

Somehow I managed to jump over the ancient seal (act 2) without activating it - using smoke mine. Could not exit the area though. Screenshots attached.

Doesn't matter. You can't go anywhere. This has been in the game since release, it's not going to get fixed anytime soon.
