Festina Lente - new small guild self found community!

Hey everyone...

After a while of searching and looking around, I haven't found a community dedicated to the thing I specifically want to do. I thrive in fresh starts and really love every new league start the most - for me the enjoyment is the journey, rather than the destination. Destination is just the cherry on top; it's everything else that is the cake. To be clear; there are several communities of variable sizes; but usually too big for my taste (I have tried a few). I would like to have a limit of 20 members, beyond that I feel like some people get lost in the crowd...

This resulted in my attempt to create what's missing! I've set up a Discord server (and guild), and it is open for anyone to jump in check what's up. A lot of us have a dream of playing with a group of friends, but do not actually have friends who share the same 'self found' kind of passion or even play PoE at all - and this may be the right place to find that. The name chosen was "Festina Lente".

Who is this for?

A casual, mature, team oriented exile who isn't obsessed with 'finishing' the game within the first week, who likes to wind down after a hard work day with some PoE action. Do you prefer SSF but would really like to have some company, either to help each other with favourite map slot completions or specific build enabling items, or to just endlessly chat about a dream build with likeminded individuals? Do you really prefer smaller communities/guilds between some ten and twenty members? Can you lead interesting conversations and not be a prick? Well, this might just be your cup of tea!

What are the general plans?

We would have our own guild and discord server, and play in our own private league (Softcore trade, no mods) every new league. It is expected from everyone to somehow contribute towards the teams' success; be it by being someone who really enjoys bossing and supplies others with boss drops, or someone who really enjoys heisting or crafting or simulacrums or five-ways or mapping... you get the jist of it. There are no obligations though, you are just supposed to have fun and be supportive of others. Begging, stealing or any foul play will result in a full removal from the community.

Is there a currently running private league?

No, but if there is enough interest (I personally am indeed interested), I don't see why not enjoy the rest of Sanctum in a fresh start environment (I have personally reached the goals I set myself for both Ruthless and trade leagues, and if this idea goes well, I don't see myself playing anything other than our private leagues in the future).

Why do this in the middle of a league and not on the next league start?

The idea here is to attract people who typically play PoE almost all the time, not just on the first weeks of leaguestart, and to ideally get to know each other a little before 3.21. Basically, eliminating the situation where you jump in some unknown private league for league start and potentially get disappointed and feel like you've wasted your time. If we can also get a new 'fresh start' in the last couple of months of Sanctum, even better - more fun for us!
