Black screens with cplspcon error

I'll preface this by saying I've played over 100 hrs these past 2 weeks, my issue has been happening since yesterday.

I played yesterday for a few hours with no issues, and then during a simu my screen blacked out and the PC seemed to "freeze" in regards that the sound was there but nothing happened.

This has never happened before during anything poe or not poe related. Nonetheless I shrugged and restarted everything. But then it happened for a second and third time.

Now I'll be the first to admit my drivers are often outdated. So I updated GPU drivers and it seemed to subside. Only to happen two or three hours later.

I've decided to dig up more stuff regarding what's going on. The only thing that's recurring in the event logs during those crashes is the error which says

"The cplspcon service terminated with the following error:

Unspecified error".

I've managed to scramble more info regarding it being related to Intel - so I went up and checked, some drivers needed an update but not those I'd expect (instead some others for WiFi/Bluetooth connection).

I've also ran an sfc scan and something was indeed chcecked and fixed, but not helped in this situation.

I've made a test running a heavy resource game like FarCry 6 with denuvo and whatnot, with checks on geforce overlay and CPU usage around 30%, with GPU being up to 80% and 20 minutes of gameplay went without any issues whatsoever.

Launched poe with the overlay showing 5% CPU usage and up to 90% of GPU usage if I spammed cremation, then idling 2 minutes in the hideout when the blackscreen happened again. Total runtime of poe has been around 3-4 minutes (log in. spam in hideout, idle 2 minutes, crash).

I should also mention that this des not seem to be a "crash" or a complete freeze of the PC - this time I've had spotify in the background and managed to still hear the song played, and even control spotify in real time via my phone. It's as if something happened with just the screen to cause it to "die" with no options of reviving it.

I'm using pretty standard extensions like awakened poe trade, pob or exilence, however only poe has been launched now, and the black screen is still happening.

For the record game settings are set on ultra/highest and my most relevant specs

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
MOBO: Asus TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI)
32GB RAM

i have a similar issue where poe crashes with a black screen and i have to reboot to reinitialize my gpu driver. i checked my drive, cpu, memory, gpu for stability issues. memory test passed, stable OC, cpu is stable under load, temperature is fine. checked windows for corruption, reinstalled the essential drivers like chipset, coolers, afterburne, newest stable gpu driver, etc.

i can play cyberpunk or other power intensive games for hours on end with no crashes whatsoever at 90%+ gpu usage, do anything without issues, but once i start up poe shit just gets funky and crashes happen after a few hours, often with memory errors which can only be driver/software related since i tested the hardware.

this isn't the first time i had a situation like this either, their engine has some issues with older ryzen cpus where the multithreading makes the game randomly crash.

Did you ever find the solution to this problem? I have been experiencing the same exact issue. Lenovo Legion 7i 4090, all my drivers are up to date, using dGPU mode.

It was a while ago - I don't really remember. I vaguely recall sending the machine to service alongside cleaning, but I don't think they found anything and the issues passed.
