Lack of deadzone in controller mode when dying

This league I started having persistent issue with being teleported to town instead of to last checkpoint in controller mode, since when dying the death screen immediately accepts inputs to teleport (because of movement skill spam). I also played last league exclusively on controller and I do not recall this happening at all, while now it is constant.

edit: in fact, when you are holding down B, you die and then release B, it will teleport you to town. This of course is rather annoying.
