Help deciding on next upgrade for Hexblast Occultist build

Hi there. If anyone with expertise in a Hexblast build could guide me in the next best upgrade on console, it would be appreciated. I am a very casual player with about 3 Ex to spend and need more defense/survivability currently. In T13+ I am constantly getting 1-2 shot. Deodres body armor 6 link is currently 8 EX on console which is out of my budget. The Jewel to go with it is only 30C but I know you need both together to make a large defensive jump.

Thanks. I do have that in Flask slot 5 already with the crafted mod :). I appreciate the help. Still about 3 EX available to spend on a def upgrade but I have a feeling my best bet is to get Dopple + the jewel for transfer of damage to chaos damage and mitigation of it.

Yea the timeless jewel or the doppelgänger guise will also improve your survivability.

Timeless jewel should be cheaper attempt to increase the defence level.

get a 5-link instead of a 6-link, absolute enough for up to t16 maps. if you wait now untill you got your 8 ex for the 6 link, all you are doing is wasting time and getting more and more frustrated, because you won't improve.

getting a 5 link + the needed jewel is the next step, afterwards you can go easily t14+ maps, get invitations, sell them for round about 1ex each and improve further.

Totally hear you and appreciate it. I just get to play so little i am not sure of the best way to maximize my time for upgrades. Normal doppels are still 4 ex and then need to try and fuse it to 5 link. At least the jewels are 30C. Thanks for the help. Ill see what I can do.
