Talk about control.
Blizzard wont even let you post on their forums if you don't have a subscription.
Perhaps GGG should introduce something similar, buy a stash tab.. you're in, spend $10 you're in? (Joking btw) Last bumped on Jun 11, 2022, 11:03:25 PM

This brings me back to the days when those of us who only had Diablo 1 and not Diablo 2 couldn't post on the forums any more. I was particularly angry about it at the time.

I think it is a good idea, it keeps spams and advertising posts to a minimum, and most player technical issues needs to be communicated with the support anyway.

" This brings me back to the time when Max Schaefer pleaded with me to reconsider my support for Diablo 2. Blizzard had backed down from their promise to make PK'ing a choice. Max had promised previously that you would be able to turn it off in games you made. I don't remember now if Chris Wilson posted in that same thread or one a few days later. " A number of forums do that, particularly the MMO ones. If PoE required a one-time purchase to enable forum posting it would actually relieve a number of issues, but you'd still get a lot of junk despite the work too. Yep, totally over league play.

Path of Exile is not blizzard. It's better than the evil blizzard company choice's.

The only problem it'd alleviate is the bot spammers, and those seem mostly under control. As for problems it'd cause, that would mostly relate to new players being unable to post feedback or ask other players for advice. "Just let anyone post in those forums," you may say, but that eliminates the sole upside: bots could post in them. So it'd be pointless.

On the WoW forums you can post in the support forums without a subscription.
