Unable to highlight items in chat in controller mode if multiple items in single message

I am playing in a combination mouse, keyboard, and controller while being in controller mode (mouse/keyboard is just for chatting and trade interactions). When you highlight an item in chat, it shows information about the item. When someone sends multiple items in chat, each item will show the details of the first item only of the multiple items they linked.

Example:
People in our global link recombinators and the 2 items are they combining. If player A posts the recombinator and the 2 items, I will see info on the recombinator when highlighting all 3 items in that single message.

If they post a new message of the results, I can see that item as expected. But there is no way to know what the 2 items combined together will show unless they post each item in a separate message.

Yes! This! I hope this gets fixed soon! The people I play with will be very happy when this gets fixed.
