Low fps

Hi!

I've been playing Path of Exile on and off for a couple of years. I enjoy the game a lot, until I get to run maps with a delirium portal and other modifications on top of it. My fps drops from a stable 60 fps to 25 fps everytime an interaction happens (like an explosion). I use a pc connected to the internet through an ethernet cable.

What can I do to keep my fps at 60? Are my specs just too low for high end Poe gaming?
